Carlo NASON Lamp LS144 produced by MAZZEGA
Ceiling lamp/ table lamp designed by Carlo Nason. Italy, AV Mazzega, 1969.
Metal base with three handblown iridescent Murano-glass pieces sitting on top of each other. Two E27 light fittings. The lamp was originally made as a ceiling lamp but has often been used as a table lamp. The glass pieces are perfect without any faults. The lamp has been electrically restored with new E27 light fittings and a new cord with a switch. The glass is handblown making each lamp unique, beautiful sculptural light. AMAZING!
Italian designer Carlo Nason was born into a family of expert glassmakers in 1935 in Murano, Venice. His father, Vincenzo Nason, directed the renowned glass business Nason-Moretti and opened a second glass business under the name Vincenzo Nason & C in 1941. From an early age, the younger Nason received training in the art of glassblowing, learning about both the properties of the material and the artisanal techniques used in glass molding and decoration.
Excellent vintage condition, glass perfect.
