Round Dining Table by Vittorio INTROINI for SAPORITI, 1972

REF. 0637    |    € 4500.00

Round Table with polished metal base designed by Vittorio Introini. Italy, Saporiti, 1972.

Cast aluminium base in the shape of a four-sided Flower Petal with a round, thick tempered float glass, resting directly on the petal flutes. This is model COLBY designed for Saporiti in the early 1970s by Introini. Very good condition, no faults to the glass.

A perfect blend of Space Age futurism and mid-century organic forms, displaying transparency while utilising fluid, metallic geometries...

Vittorio Introini (1935–2023) was an Italian architect and designer active from the early 1960s, aligned with the rational yet experimental spirit of postwar Italian design. Trained in architecture, he approached furniture as small-scale architecture, using precise geometries, clear volumes, and carefully studied proportions. His collaboration with Saporiti Italia produced technically sophisticated tables, seating, and storage systems that explored new structural solutions, metal bases, and rich veneers, giving his pieces a sculptural presence while remaining highly functional.
