Rare Wall Divider/ Folding Screen with four brown-coloured panels sitting on brass feet. The screen, designed by Aldo Tura in the 1960s, depicts musical instruments on the four front panels. The screen is typically fully covered in parchment, which is then lacquered in a high gloss, giving it the luxurious feel... The feet and details are made of brass. The piece is signed: 'Aldo Tura Creazioni' on one of the front panels.
Italian designer Aldo Tura (1909–1963) was a master of mid-century furniture craftsmanship. In 1939, he established his studio in Lombardy, blending Art Deco elegance with modernist functionality. Tura rejected postwar industrial mass production, remaining devoted to complex, brass, labour-intensive hand techniques. He is globally renowned for using exotic, luxury materials like lacquered goatskin, eggshell, and parchment, often dyed in vibrant red or green hues. His highly collectable pieces include rolling bar carts, tiered cabinets, and high-end cocktail accessories embellished with brass.
