Carlo SCARPA (1906-1978) studied at the Accademia di Bella Arti in Venice, when starting to work for Cappellin. He supervised building work on industrial projects as well as the restoration of The Palazzo Da Mula in Venice. In the 1930s he started to collaborate with Paolo Venini, his importance clearly illustrated at the 1940 Venice Biennale. A whole room was decorated with his designs and made quite an impact in the design world. Later, his son Tobia Scarpa also found a fruitful field of expression with Venini.
Excellent condition.
