Pair of office cane chairs designed by Pierre Jeanneret. India, c.1955-56.
The 'PJ-SI-28-B' office chair with teak frame and cane seat and curved backrest. The cane has been restored around 2015. There are some original marking on the back of one chair (see image). Office chairs from the administrative buildings of Chandigarh. Very beautiful, indeed:
