Set of four chairs designed by Eugen Schmidt. Germany, ES-Eugen Schmidt Darmstadt, 1965.
Chromed tube steel base with dark bent plywood seat and backrest. Sand coloured wool upholstery, chromed connection pieces for the backrest. A nice set! The back and seat pads can easily be removed for reupholstery.
Includes maker label.
Eugen Schmidt was an architect and designer of furniture, creating a variety of design icons for the firm SOLOFORM in Germany in the 1960s. He is also known for designing the interior and furniture of the German Chancellor's Bungalow.
